Importance Of Natural Skin Care

Skin care is important; not only to keep your face looking clean and good looking but also to ensure that it stays healthy and free of disease. There are some basic tips that will keep your face looking fresh and young looking such as cleansing.
Cleansing your face should occur at least twice a day—once in the morning and then again at night. Use a mild cleansing soap-liquid or bar–when cleaning your face. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

The next step in natural skin care is exfoliating. You can exfoliate your face several ways such as with a facial scrub, a wash cloth or with a chemical peel.  There are various types of facial scrubs such as brown sugar and oil or a sugar scrub. If you use a washcloth, you can put a cleanser on it and mix it with a little sugar. By exfoliating with a damp wash cloth and massaging it into your skin and rinsing well, you can give your face a good exfoliating.

Another step in natural skin care is moisturizing. This is a very important step because it keeps your skin smooth and young looking.  Some suggest using a moisturizer twice a day—once in the morning and then again at night. Use a light moisturizer in the morning before putting on makeup and a thicker moisturizer before going to bed. Examples of natural moisturizers are: olive oil and extra virgin coconut oil.

One very important step in natural skin care is sunscreen. Sun damage can cause wrinkles and skin cancer but to ensure that your skin is protected, be sure to apply a sunscreen that has at least 30 SPF to your skin. This will protect you from the sun’s harmful rays.

Keep in mind, that even though it is important to use natural skin care products, it is even more important to have a diet that is rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, whole grain products and water. Water is especially important in keeping your skin fresh and healthy looking. In addition, getting six to eight hours of sleep every night is also important in keeping your skin healthy and great looking.
