Current Trail Conditions
i have been on the trails close to a dozen times throughout the months of september and october. the trails are great. i can't believe the lack of riders i see on these trails. these are by far the best trails in central ohio. i haven't seen any horses either, although there are some droppings on the trail. there are some killer climbs, but they are almost always rewarded with some awesome downhills. there is some erosion on the downhills making for more of a technical descent. it is hunting season, so be very careful at the lick run rd.area. this area is open to public hunting. i would avoid it all together during deer gun season. the sugarloaf mt. area is prohibited for hunters which makes for a safer ride. the park map clearly shows the hunting and non-hunting areas. i would love to see more riders exercise the right to ride on this exellent trail system.
